\n\t\tWhat is Rosacea?\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t
Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that most commonly affects the face, particularly the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. Initially, it may manifest as temporary facial flushing, which over time can become more pronounced and frequent. In more advanced cases, persistent redness, visible blood vessels, small red lesions and papules and pustules may develop, while some patients may also develop granulomas and thickening of the skin.<\/h6>
Rosacea can affect both men and women, most commonly in adulthood. Periods of exacerbation may alternate with periods when symptoms are less pronounced.<\/h6><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\tWhy does Rosacea develop?\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t
The exact cause of rosacea is not fully understood. It is believed that genetic predisposition, an altered immune response of the skin and increased vascular reactivity all play a role in its development. A number of everyday factors can trigger or worsen the symptoms.<\/h6>
The most common triggers include sun exposure and high temperatures, sudden temperature changes, spicy foods, alcohol, stress, physical exertion and certain cosmetic products. Therefore, identifying individual triggers is very important for the long-term management of rosacea.<\/h6>
In some patients, rosacea may also be accompanied by symptoms such as stinging, burning and increased skin sensitivity, making the appropriate choice of skincare products and treatment particularly important.<\/h6><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Rosacea and demodicosis are two skin conditions that are often associated.\u00a0Demodex folliculorum<\/i>\u00a0is a microscopic mite that normally lives in the hair follicles of the skin. However, in some individuals, excessive proliferation of these mites may occur and trigger an inflammatory response, particularly in patients with papulopustular rosacea. This may contribute to redness, small papules and pustules, stinging, itching and a sensation of irritated skin.<\/h6>
For this reason, it is important to assess whether demodicosis is also present in addition to rosacea. A dermatological examination, dermoscopy and a skin scraping can help determine whether there is an increased number of\u00a0Demodex<\/i>\u00a0mites.<\/h6><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
